The Awde Education Fund

Interest free Loans for up to 80% of the cost of  tuition are available to students at an accredited post-secondary educational institution.

In addition, the following Awards & Grants are offered for 2010/11 academic year.

• Students achieving grades in the top 10 percent of their program in their year will have 10% of the loan amount for that year forgiven.

• Students achieving the highest grades in their year for their program will have 20% of the loan amount for that academic year forgiven.

• The Sarah Allan Awde bursary of $500.00 may be provided to an exceptional student applying for loan assistance with the highest marks in their senior year of secondary school and entering their first year of a Canadian college or university.

• The James Awde bursary of $1000.00 may be awarded to qualifying third year students receiving loan assistance with an academic average of 85% or higher in plant biology, environmental studies or agriculture programs in Canadian universities .

• The Awde Architecture bursaries of $1000.00 may be awarded to qualifying third for fourth year students receiving loan assistance with an academic average of at least 85% in architecture or urban planning programs in Canadian universities.
  

• The International Studies bursary of $2000.00 may be awarded to a post-graduate student in international studies or education to work with a recognized NGO to help establish school facilities in countries with lack of access to schooling.
